Connect and configure VAMREG
Connect VAMREG to Vetocare via Settings > Integrations > VAMREG, then complete the wizard’s three steps: setting the API key, linking the animal species, and entering the veterinarians’ registration numbers. The integration is available only for practices in Belgium and for users with the administrator or owner role.
The VAMREG integration appears in the settings overview only when your practice is located in Belgium, you are an administrator or owner, and your account has the product permission. In the integration overview, you can see the Enabled or Disabled status and turn the integration on or off with Enable or Disable. Open each step with Configure; the steps for animal species and registration numbers are available only after the previous step has been completed.
Set API key
Enter the VAMREG API key you received from VAMREG here. This is the first step and the foundation of the connection.
Open Set API key and enter the API key in the field.
Click Save. If the input is valid, the message Changes saved. appears and you return to the overview.
The API key is required: the step cannot be saved without a value. If a key has already been saved, the field displays API key (already saved) with the placeholder *******. This placeholder is not a real value; you must enter the key again if you want to save the step again.
Link animal species
Link each animal species to a VAMREG target animal and indicate for each species whether AB registration is required. The table displays the columns AB required, Animal species, and VAMREG target animal for each animal species.
Select AB required for each animal species for which AB registration is required. The VAMREG target animal dropdown then becomes visible.
In VAMREG target animal, select the corresponding target animal species.
Click Save. If the input is valid, Changes saved. appears and you return to the overview.
A target animal species is required only when AB required is selected; if the checkbox is not selected, the target animal may remain empty. If your practice does not have any animal species yet, the page displays No animal species found for this practice.
Enter veterinarians’ registration numbers
For each user, enter the veterinarian’s official registration number with the Order of Veterinarians. Vetocare automatically uses this number for VAMREG registrations when that user is selected as the prescribing veterinarian.
Open Set registration numbers. The table displays the columns Name and VAMREG registration number for each user.
Enter the number for each user in VAMREG registration number.
Click Save. If the input is valid, Changes saved. appears and you return to the overview.
The registration number is optional for each user and may be left empty. An entered number must begin with 0, 1, N, or F, followed by exactly four digits. If the format is invalid, the page displays Invalid registration number format. If your practice does not have any users yet, the page displays No users found for this practice.
