Set inventory information
Change the inventory settings of an existing product via Products → product → Edit. This opens the Change product page, where the inventory settings are located on the Inventory tab. Save your changes with Save.
Open the Inventory tab
The Inventory tab appears only for main products, not product variants. Inventory and unit settings for a variant are inherited from the main product.
Go to Products and open the product.
Click Edit to open the Change product page.
Open the Inventory tab.
Inventory settings
On the Inventory tab, configure the following:
Inventory item — indicates whether this item is subject to inventory tracking. If you set this to No, the inventory fields and lot number options are hidden or disabled.
Use lot numbers — enables lot number tracking for this product. See Lot numbers for products and inventory.
Minimum inventory and Unit — the minimum inventory level and the unit in which it is counted. If the current inventory falls below this level, the quantity turns red and the Low inventory indicator appears in the product overview.
Order quantity and Unit — the fixed order quantity for the product and the unit in which it is counted.
Storage location — where the product is stored, such as a warehouse, cabinet, or drawer.
Change a product's current inventory via an inventory adjustment, not directly on this tab.
Save your changes with Save.
