Mark as deceased

If an animal has died, you can mark it as deceased in Vetocare. This adds a label to the animal, and the animal's information is retained, unlike when you delete the animal. To mark an animal as deceased, go to its record. Click the "Edit" button to open the edit page. There is a field called "Deceased"; set it to "Yes" to mark the animal as deceased. When the field is set to "Yes", two other fields also appear: "Date of death" and "Note about death". Vetocare checks that the date in Date of death is not before the date of birth; see Entering an animal's date of birth. The note is optional and lets you, for example, enter the cause of death.

Don't forget to save these changes by clicking the "Save" button. When you save, you'll see a warning that all scheduled reminders will be canceled. After that, a label will be shown for this animal in various places in Vetocare.
