Correcting a Lot Number and Expiry Date
Correct an incorrectly entered lot number or expiry date directly from a product’s stock overview, without changing the total stock. The correction applies to an existing lot line and updates the stock history instead of creating a new stock transaction.
Correcting a lot number
The Edit lot number action is available for lot lines that already have a lot number in the stock overview. You need product permissions to do this.
Open Products and select the product.
Go to the stock overview and click Edit lot number next to the lot line.
Edit the Lot number or Expiry date. Current stock is read-only.
Click Save.
The correction does not change the total stock or create a stock transaction; the change is recorded in the stock history. An expiry date can only be saved when a lot number has been entered, and a lot number can be up to 100 characters long.
Merging lot numbers
When the corrected lot number already exists, Vetocare displays a preview of the merge. Compare the Source lot and Target lot for stock, expiry date, stock value, and average purchase value, then confirm with Merge. The lot stocks are combined without changing the total product stock, and linked historical references are updated.
