Entering or Updating an Address
Vetocare uses separate fields for street, house number, suffix, and unit number, in the field order customary for the selected country. Address suggestions appear as you type for addresses in the Netherlands and Belgium. Use these address fields for clients, invoices, intakes, and approving an intake.
Filling in the address fields
First, select the country for the address; the fields will then follow that country’s customary order. You can always enter an address manually; the suggestions are only there to help you fill it in.
Open the address in the client record, on the invoice, or in the intake.
Enter the postal code and house number. The address search starts after a brief pause in typing, and its progress is visible.
Select the correct suggestion or fill in the individual fields manually.
A suffix that is not included in the address search is retained. Dutch house numbers are formatted in the familiar way.
If a Belgian address search finds no match, you’ll see a notification in Dutch, French, or English.
The form will not be saved until any ongoing address search is complete.
Splitting an address in the old format
Addresses still stored as a single line of text can be split using the button for splitting the address. The address details will then appear in separate fields and can be edited individually.
Address changes on an invoice
If you change the client’s address while editing an invoice, Vetocare also saves the updated address to the client record when you save. An invoice address that differs from the client’s address does not replace the details in the client record.
The client fills in the same address form in an intake; approval of the intake will wait until any ongoing address search is complete.
