Paying via a Mollie Terminal
With a Mollie Terminal, you can accept invoice payments directly at the counter: start a payment on the terminal from the invoice, and the customer pays by card or contactless. The payment is automatically recorded on the invoice, and you can track the payment status in real time.
Activate Mollie Terminal
Activate Mollie Terminal via Settings > Mollie. You need a linked Mollie account with the permissions required for terminal payments.
In Vetocare, go to Settings and open Mollie.
Open the Terminal payments page.
Select Enable terminal payments (Mollie) and click Save.
If your Mollie integration does not have the permissions required for terminal payments, the page displays the message "Your current Mollie integration does not have the permissions required for terminal payments. Reconnect Mollie to enable terminal payments." Reconnect Mollie to continue.

Paying with Tap To Pay
Tap To Pay uses the same settings as Mollie Terminal. As soon as terminal payments are enabled, the Tap To Pay app appears as an available terminal when paying.
When paying, select the PIN payment type and select the Tap To Pay app from the PIN (terminal) list. The payment then proceeds in the same way as with a physical Mollie Terminal and is automatically recorded on the invoice.
Starting a payment from an invoice
Once a Mollie Terminal is linked, you can start a payment directly from the invoice details page.
Open the invoice the customer wants to pay.
Select the PIN payment type for the payment.
Select the terminal from the PIN (terminal) list.
Enter the amount to be paid. The outstanding amount is entered by default.
Click Complete & start PIN.
The customer pays on the terminal by card or contactless. Meanwhile, the screen displays "Continue on terminal...".
The amount must be greater than zero and cannot exceed the outstanding invoice amount. For an invalid amount, Vetocare displays "Invalid amount"; for an amount exceeding the outstanding amount, it displays "The entered amount is higher than the outstanding amount".
If Vetocare cannot find a terminal, the list displays "No active terminals found". If the list cannot be loaded, "Error retrieving terminals" appears.
Tracking the payment status
Vetocare tracks the payment on the terminal and updates the status automatically.
Paid: the payment is recorded, the invoice is locked, and the page is reloaded.
Canceled: the screen displays "Payment canceled".
Failed or expired: the screen displays "Payment failed".
Open or pending: the screen continues to display "Continue on terminal...", and Vetocare continues checking the status.
For a canceled or failed payment, you can try the payment again or cancel it.
After a successful payment
A successful terminal payment is recorded on the invoice as PIN (terminal), along with the amount paid, the payment reference, and the terminal name. The invoice is automatically locked as soon as the payment is recorded.
